1. Booking & Payment Policy

• All driving lessons must be booked and paid in advance.
  Payments are accepted only into the KS Driving School bank account. Payment by
  secure payment link may be accepted at management discretion.
  Lessons may be cancelled if payment is not received by the required deadline.

New Clients

• New clients must pay one lesson in advance as a deposit.
• This deposit is not an extra charge and will be used as the final lesson.
• For all remaining lessons, payment must be made no later than the night before each
  scheduled lesson.
• Failure to make payment on time may result in cancellation of the session.

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

• A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule any lesson.
• Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the lesson time will
  be treated as a no-show.
• No-show or late-cancelled lessons are:
  • Fully chargeable
  • Non-refundable
  • Not eligible for rescheduling
• Any new booking after a no-show must be paid in advance.

3. Discounted Package Policy

• Discounted lesson packages are valid for 4 months from the date of purchase.
• All lessons within the package must be completed within this time.
• Any unused lessons after 4 months will expire and are non-refundable.
• Packages are non-transferable and non-renewable, unless agreed by management in
  exceptional circumstances (for example, illness).

Rescheduling Discounted Packages

• Discounted packages allow one reschedule only, with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
• Any further reschedule or late cancellation will result in the lesson being:
• Counted as used
• Non-refundable
• Not reschedulable

4. Refund Policy

• No refunds are issued for:
  
  • Completed lessons
  • Lessons already started
  • Part-used lesson packages
• Once a lesson package has commenced, no refund will be issued.
• If a refund is approved by management (rare cases only):
  
  • It will be calculated at the standard single-lesson rate
  • The discounted rate will not apply
• Booking, administration, and processing fees are non-refundable.

5. Instructor-Cancelled Lessons

• Lessons may be delayed or cancelled due to:
  
  • Traffic conditions
  • Severe weather
  • Road closures
  • Health issues
  • Emergencies
• In such cases:
  • Lessons will be rescheduled on a priority basis
  • No refund will be issued

6. Punctuality & Traffic Conditions

• Lessons start and end at the scheduled time.
• Late arrival by the learner will not extend the lesson duration.
• The full lesson fee remains payable.

Traffic & Road Conditions

• Lesson start times may vary due to:
  • Traffic congestion
  • Roadworks
  • Accidents
  • Weather conditions
• KS Driving School is not responsible for delays caused by factors outside its control.
  • Lesson time will be adjusted where reasonably possible, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Learner Responsibility

• Learners must inform the instructor in advance of any:
  • Road closures
  • Construction works
  • Access issues near the meeting location
• An alternative meeting point may be arranged where possible.
  • KS Driving School is not responsible for delays caused by undisclosed local road conditions.

7. Safety & Learner Responsibilities

• Learners must hold:
  • A valid Irish learner permit
  • A logbook (if previously issued)
• Learners must comply with all RSA regulations at all times.

Fitness to Drive

• Lessons may be refused or ended early if the learner is deemed unfit to drive, including due to:
  • Illness
  • Fatigue
  • Alcohol or drugs
  • Medication affecting driving ability
  • Unsafe behaviour
  • Inappropriate footwear
• In such cases:
  • The lesson will be counted as used
  • No refund will be issued

8. Use of Learner’s Own Vehicle

If a learner chooses to use their own vehicle, it must:

• Be fully roadworthy
• Have a valid NCT
• Have valid motor insurance covering learner drivers
• Display RSA-approved L-plates
• Have no mechanical faults or warning lights         

Important

• If a lesson cannot proceed or is delayed because the vehicle does not meet RSA requirements:
  • The lesson will be counted as a full lesson
  • It will be non-refundable
  • It will not be rescheduled
• EDT lessons will only be uploaded once the lesson is completed fully and correctly.

9. EDT Lessons & RSA Compliance

• EDT lessons are recorded only after full completion.
• EDT updates are normally uploaded within 1–5 working days.
• Incomplete or non-compliant lessons cannot be uploaded to the RSA system.
• No refund is issued for lessons that cannot be uploaded due to non-compliance.

10. Pricing, Working Hours & ADI Vehicle Usage

Working Hours

• Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Lessons booked outside these hours, including:
  • Late evenings
  • Weekends
  • Bank holidays
  • may be subject to different pricing.

Pricing Variations

• Lesson prices may vary depending on:
  • Time of day
  • Day of the week
  • Public or bank holidays
• All applicable prices will be clearly explained and confirmed before booking.
• By proceeding with a booking, the learner agrees to the confirmed rate.

ADI (Instructor) Vehicle Usage

• Use of the ADI vehicle may incur additional charges, including:
  • Lesson use
  • Pre-test training
  • Driving test car hire
• ADI vehicle usage charges will be clearly communicated and confirmed before booking.
• Learners must confirm acceptance of these charges before the lesson proceeds.

11. Pricing & Availability Disclaimer

• All lesson prices, packages, offers, and availability are subject to change.
• Any price or offer confirmed at the time of booking will be honoured.
• Changes will not affect lessons or packages already booked and paid for.
• KS Driving School reserves the right to update pricing, availability, and offers at any time.

12. Acceptance of Terms

• By booking a lesson or purchasing a package, the learner confirms that they:
  • Have read these policies
  • Understand them
  • Agree to them in full

13. Statutory Rights

• Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights under Irish law.
